Monthly Discussions

Students meet the first Tuesday of each month at 8 pm to discuss all things student-related.  These informal meetings are open to all NYSAFP students. Bring your questions, learn what NYSAFP can do for you, and gain a greater understanding of family medicine opportunities. Previous months’ topics included: The Match and Letters of Recommendations, The Breadth of Family Medicine, Lobby Day & Advocacy Activities, Social Justice Issues, Acing the Interview, and more! To participate, please contact fp@nysafp.org.

To find out more information, complete the application here (docx). This is a great opportunity to connect with and learn from Family Doctors.
What students are saying….

“Dr. … has been instrumental in shaping my view and interest in working with those experiencing homelessness. I certainly would not have had a strong ERAS application and be able to articulate my passions within Family Medicine without her advice and support. I really am so grateful for connecting us!”
