The NYSAFP is the New York State chapter of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). We are physicians, residents, and students who are dedicated to promoting the field of family medicine and to improving the health of patients, families and communities through education and advocacy.
Students
Student members of NYSAFP can enjoy leadership opportunities, attend local and regional networking opportunities, find a family physician mentor, advocate for family medicine & our patients, and receive scholarship opportunities to attend conferences. Membership is free for students, as part of your (also free) AAFP membership.

Resident members of NYSAFP get a rewarding, gratifying experience that will keep you energized, engaged, gratified, and empowered! Resident membership is included as part of AAFP membership (often paid for by your residency program).
