RMS Update on Final Budget Status
This morning, Governor Hochul sent the 15th budget extender to the Legislature (Program Bill 40), see attached. The bill provides emergency appropriations to continue current year spending through May 28th. The Senate has passed the extender and the Assembly is currently doing so.
Also the Transportation Economic Development Environment (TED) Article VII final budget bill (A10008C/S9008C) was introduced late yesterday, and both houses are expected to pass it today. This follows last week’s passage of the Public Protection General Government (PPGG) Article VII (A10005-C / S 9005-C) and the Education Labor Family Assistance (ELFA) Article VII (A10006C/S9006C) final budget bills. In March, the Legislature passed the final Debt Service – A10002A / S 9002A on 3/26/26.
Below is the list of Budget Bills that have not been amended as part of the final budget. We expect these bills to be amended and passed this week so the complete spending plan for SFY 2027 can be in place.
