11th Budget Extender Bill Introduced
The Legislature is expected to take up the eleventh budget extension measure later today, which will fund state government through Thursday, May 14th, 2026. The Governor sent the Legislature Program Bill #36, which has been introduced as S10262 (Serrano)/ A11295 (Pretlow).
Despite the Governor Hochul announcing they had reached a general agreement on Thursday, there were still a number of issues remaining unresolved including the Speaker’s statement that they do not have an agreement as of this past Friday, he did note that they are close. Negotiations are in full swing with budget bills expected sometime this week.
