7th Budget Extender Bill Introduced
The Legislature is expected to take up the seventh budget extension measure later today, which will fund state government through Thursday, April 30th, 2026. The Governor sent the Legislature Program Bill #30, which has been introduced as S10060 (Serrano)/ A11150 (Pretlow) and is attached.
While discussions between legislative leaders and the Governor have reportedly made progress on pending auto insurance proposals, a deal has not yet been reached. Three-way negotiations are expected to continue on a number of outstanding issues, including potential changes to the 2019 climate law, enhanced protections for immigrants, and details related to the proposed pied-รก-terre tax on second homes in New York City.
