Many medical students have questions about family medicine or have particular interests but do not know if these interests would work within a family medicine framework. NYSAFP has developed a database of family medicine physicians across New York State. This database allows students to search for physicians in their area or with their interests. Physicians have volunteered their information and would be happy to answer questions about the specialty. We hope this list will be a helpful resource for students considering a future in family medicine.

AAFP Resources for Students
AAFP Student Update April 2010
The NYSAFP pays dues for student members and also provides subsidies for student members to attend NYSAFP and AAFP meetings including the NYSAFP Winter Weekend, the NYSAFP Congress of Delegates and the AAFP National Conference of Student Members. Student members are also welcome to serve on NYSAFP commissions and to participate in the NYSAFP Congress of Delegates.
