HIT Toolkit
CA-AFP has developed a free and publicly available online HIT Toolkit. The toolkit includes a Qualification and Assessment Wizard to help physicians determine which incentive program (Medicare or Medi-Cal) to register for (Medicaid in your states), a guide to working with the Regional Extension Center program, tips on vendor selection and contracting, a practice readiness assessment tool, advice from physician champions who have implemented an EHR and more. CA-AFP anticipates building it up further over the coming months.
The toolkit was developed under a grant from The Physicians' Foundation for Health Systems Excellence and is freely available. Leah Newkirk and Jane Cho, along with the communications department staff and consultants of the CA-AFP developed this HIT Toolkit. Please see the link below for HIT Toolkit information.
