Margarita R Mosquera M.D. A family medicine resident at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY, serves as the resident director on the New York State AFP Board of Directors.
Mosquera was elected by the 2010 Congress of Delegates NYSAFP on June 2010. As the resident member of the board of directors, Mosquera is responsible for representing the interest of the residents statewide to the NYSAFP Board of Directors.
Mosquera is a delegate of the Ellis Chapter, their board members participate actively in advocacy on behalf of patients and family physicians and issues related with the health care reform.
Mosquera earned a master in epidemiology degree and a medical degree from the Universidad del Valle-Cali, Colombia and a master degree in Public Health at SUNY Albany, she is currently a second year resident at Ellis Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program. Schenectady, NY.
Mosquera has a strong interest in advocacy for underserved population and promoting medical research among residents.
