C.A.P.E.S. Program for Primary Care Physicians

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Education and Support
(C.A.P.E.S.) Program for Primary Care Physicians

We are pleased to announce that the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Education and Support (C.A.P.E.S.) Program for Primary Care Physicians has been awarded a contract by New York State Office of Mental Health to expand psychiatric education and consultation services to physicians in 17 counties in New York State.

Due to the overwhelming number of children and adolescents presenting with mental health issues in primary care practices, and the shortage of child and adolescent psychiatrists, the C.A.P.E.S. Program was created in 2005 to better meet the psychiatric needs of children and their families.
